Hi... i was wondering some things about the skiing behavior i see exhibited by the locals in the North Tahoe area...

you see, i come from one of the larger ski areas in Michigan and happen
to know a thing or two about "shushing-it-up". i hold the record for kick-turns on
"upper mill pond", the steepest run off tee-bar 2, and nobody keeps
'em parallel like me... so please take my experience into consideration
when reading this..
First off was the parking lot behavior...i didn't know if i was
skiing or at a Bob Marley concert... the deafening sounds coming from
various ski-town-trucks disoriented me and before i knew it my wife had
joined one of the groups and was puffing off something the size of a
banana. The tanned locals were just smiling and laughing and telling
her that spring skiing at Alpine Meadows actually required very little
clothing .... when she returned her lingo was slower and she told me
that we were going with them to "get the goods" so i should hurry my
ass up...i rustled into my rear-entry Nordicas and grabbed my Olin mark
III's, ( equipment was better in the old days! ) then got psyched up
to show these Cali boys some Mich kick-turnin`
When we reached the top we hiked up onto some rock and snow area and
everyone started chanting ""Slithiots, Slithiots, Slithiots"" and one
by one they all disappeared into a narrow rock slot without making a
turn, then exited and remained turn-less to the bottom, stranding my
wife and me on this cliff.... we called ski patrol on our cell and were
air lifted to safety.
Now my wife wants to move to Tahoe...she just keeps saying things
like.."Gonna get me some Spatulas" and lay down some rippin` elevens...
What does that mean and should i be concerned???

Sincerely,
Matt Pinner
